As of yesterday when I login to UC and start a conference it says I'm not present. Even though I'm showing on the screen.
My profile is completed as well with a phone number.

Hi Corrinda & Daniella -
This is part of our new redesign. After you join your conference and select your audio option (join by phone or join by computer), does your Organizer/Participant card no longer display the "Not Present" label?
We're still tweaking the redesign, so you may see some changes to this feature in the future.
Let me know if after you select your audio option, that label disappears.

same problem here!
Also same problem...
same problem. I have customers who call our support line and just the screen sharing is needed. It does not appear that I can start the conference (even if I am logged in) without the audio portion being started.
Hi all -
Let me know if this helps clear up some confusion:
John Smith has his conference set to allow conferences to begin without him (under Settings>Joining).
John Smith starts his conference but doesn't connect his audio - doesn't select any of the options (phone, computer, or view only).
Patty joins John's conference. Patty connects her audio. Patty hears hold music.
Why?
Since there's only one user connected to audio, we don't consider that a true conference (since you're unable to speak to one another).
Now, if Bob joins after Patty and connects his audio - the hold music will stop. Or, if John connects his audio the hold music will stop. UberConference just requires 2 users to have connected audio in order to stop playing hold music.
In the case of screen sharing, the first user who's joined the conference (regardless of audio selection) can start sharing their screen.
But you all are correct - if the Organizer never selects to connect their audio through their phone or computer, their Organizer card will still display as "Not Present".
We're looking into making some adjustments to the design, and I will be sure to pass on your feedback to our team.
Please let me know if you guys have more questions on this.

same problem here! I want to view and not use the audio
I have selected view only but it still shows me as absent. folks coming in are confused, think I am not there
Hello Kate,
first issue:: when I log in to start the meeting, it says organizer not present. I understand why you may not want to 'start' the conference until a second attendee is there. but it should say 'organizer present', and somehow indicate that the call is on hold waiting for first attendee. this is more logical.
second issue:: when the first attendee (first non-organizer) joins, the call should automatically connect through my selected audio option (computer and headphones). It does not, and defeats the purpose of having Uber Conf to use while traveling - I cannot open the call until I dial in by phone line, and then there are two of 'me' on the call.
Please advise if this is being fixed.

Our team is currently working on improving this feature. For the time being, I'm going to close this thread until the improvement goes live.
I will re-open when that happens, with an explanation of how the feature has changed.
If anyone has other questions about connecting their audio, or issues arising when connecting their audio, please add those comments/questions to a new thread.

Hi All --
Good news! We've removed the "Organizer Not Present" text on your Organizer card when you join your conference from the web.
Your Organizer card will now just be grayed out until you connect your audio - if you opt to View Only, your card will remain gray.
Thanks for your feedback - hopefully this clears up some of the confusion.

Same here - this "redesign" has become useless as I cannot hear my students nor can they hear me.
And yet here I sit, watching them drop off one by one...
